On par or higher.

But imagine, won't you be living in stress if your husband were
to attain a very high level of education while you a mere O level
grad? Must be realistic la uh.

Most important, is that he cherishes me, have a good attitude
and has stability prospects for the future.

Education is not a major factor, unless one belongs to the
category of needing to 'being on par' with each other.

Instead, in any relationship, communication is very
important.

If you are able to blend into each other's lives, able to
understand the topics discussed by each other's friends, able
to join in etc, it's more than enough.

The problems will start when ur partner is discussing about some
work-related issues or some general stuff which u aren't interested
in or not able to understand (this is the worst).

You will feel isolated, uncomfy, and even edgy at not being
able to join in. Most likely problems will start to crop up at
this point.

Take mine for example, in terms of education, I
am holding a cert much higher than my partner.
But, both of us are fine with it, I don't go around telling people
what cert I have or boost around; thus in a way, he's spared the
torture of it.

But, in terms of social gatherings, that's where the problems
arises. I can blend into his friends' discussions, no matter what
they are talking about.

But, he cant understand nor speak a single word throughout
my social gatherings, except for ordering food and excusing himself
to go to the Gents. Apparently, he blew up that night and insisted
we should break off, only to come back two days later, saying
he's sorry.

It has nothing to do with Education level, because there was
another time when I brought another guy friend (my
buddy) along; despite differences in education level, he was
able to blend in and talk and laughed with all my friends.

All in all, it just shows how important communication is and
also, whether one is willing to listen and understand and put in
the efforts.

Because, ultimately, I asked my guy friend why's the difference
between him and my partner. He gave me the following reply.

"I don't really understand what ur friends are talking about;
but it's always good to know more things; whatever I don't
understand I just ask and share whatever I know. I will make a joke
when any one say wrong, including myself. It's just a casual chat,
nothing big deal. Just be urself."

the thing is if u are talking aout relationships ending with
marriage, then education hs to play a part cos after awhile the
differences can be seen, especially if the girl is a greater
achiever than the guy, might have some inferiority complex problems
straining relationships

When you guys look for your partners right, do you all really
look into the educational level of that person? like for example a

or university?

No, educational level DOES NOT measures WISDOM, IQ, INTELLIGENCE of
a person.

Educational level is for to retards to think that they are
smart.

it really depends on what your looking for in a partner
anyway... but why i ans yes and no is because what we look for in a
partner is of course some1 whom you can communicate with on the
same level and sadly its most prob that those of a same level of
education can better communicate on the same level...
