Don't think so bah? Takes up quite a bit of space though.. Unless
you want ppl to stand in between them.. It'll look ugly.. But of
course, it's in the past.. Haha.

I just came back from KL. Travel on most of their railway
network and speak to most of the staffs manning the ticket booth. I
would rate KL a 9/10 and SG 4/10.

great. so i went to the ticket office at tampines int and it was
a chinese lady. let's call her lady for now. soon, we can just call
her woman.

me : hi. i want to terminate my NS ezlink card and activate my
tertiary ezlink card.

-puts my NS ezlink card on her reader-

lady : still can use till two jilo jilo nine leh! use lah! and some
more got 14 cents inside leh!

me : yes. i want to terminate that and activate my other one.

lady : keep lah. keep as souvenir lah.

me : no. i want to terminate it and activate this one! i need to
start using this one!

-hastily returns the $3 refundable deposit for my NS ezlink card +
$0.15 remaining stored value-

woman(notice change in salutation, but still the same person) : den
your $3 activation fee leh. den must top up $10 what.

-i hand her the $13. she does her work and issues me the
receipts-

what's up with the transitlink staff?? is it so important for
people to keep their unused ezlink cards(as a souvenir?? NS so fun
one meh) just so that they have the $3 refundable deposits in their
hands?

and mind you, their security glass has to go. i cant hear what she
was saying with all the construction work going on at the 3/31/67
boarding berths.

Questions on MRT/LRT replied by TIB537B @ Mon, 01 Dec 2008 17:46:06 +0800

Originally posted by bus555:

I not sure if it ok to post about NEL train here?

There is one NEL train quite weird sio.I mean when it reaches
stations, it slows down a-bit to stop lah (of course I understand,
driverless) but it like a tortise when it need to stop at the
staion plus when the train doors open, the plaform screen door
never open until about 2-3 sec then open. and it is also one of the
weirdest NEL train that I take and if I am not wrong, I was on
70251? the train cars

All NEL trains does that. The computers are programmed this way to
ensure that the train can slow to a smooth stop. Then the computers
need to check if everything is ok before they then can open the
door. It's unlike EWL and NSL where the TO can just catch a glimpse
if everthing is ok before opening the door. Somemore already a
routine, so EWL/NSL doors open quicker.
