LRT will be always above ground, just like any others in Singapore.

    • hey ppl.. do you all know how will the fare gates/ turnstiles of CCL stations will be like?

it will be slightly similar to those in NEL stations.. sleek, shiny aluminium(?) with curvy ends..

i believed i saw a prototype of the faregates in Singapore Ubi last year..

now in 2004, theres no new stations built, so it had to the CCL fate gates as i saw only one unit of it and it was carefully boarded up as i was watching.

(or maybe contractors bidding for the tender to supply the fare gates)

Maybe this Sun I would ask the SMRT stationmasters on the timings.

As for center track, usu in emerg then use it.

If not wrong according to a news paper article, somt time ago (I forgot the exact when) there was an accident in AMK stn and thence the middle track was used for NTHbound trains. (If not remember wrong, the train involved was a black train.)

    • As I made my way north today morning, at Bishan stn exit towards the Juncti8n, there 's a informative board saying about the future of BIS stn.

      It says:

There would be another entrance to the city-bound NSL platform, and thence another platform.

      as this:
      platform------city-bound track----------platform--------------WDL bound track

In this case when city-bound trains stop at Bishan, would doors on both sides be opened? Or one to avoid confusion???

    • I also wanted to know why there is no thru LRT between SKG and PGL, and bt/n the East loop and West loop of SKG LRT, when there is a direct link between SKG and PGL?

And actually is there any possibility for such through services to happen?

Ive explained before.. it is NOT possible... the LRT system is not capable of doing crossin from SGK to PGL.. As for East West Loop Services.. itz not possible... ppl will get even more confuse.. so.. it is better to leave the way things are now... Yes.. do agree that there is a Link between SGK and PGL.. but the Line connector between these two system is only connected to SGK WEST loop... it was meant only for the trains to travel to and fro the SGK Depot AND PGL LRT line.. thats all...
